Rossow_LLYM Be Nice
Be Nice!
Assignment from: Patti Rossow
Five days after Valentines day all holiday candy went 70% off at Target (where I work). So i naturally stocked up. |
After
work I waited for the bus in a caribou and used a bag to leave 2 or
three hersheys kisses on every table. hoping people would only take one,
letting them make it to as many people, who took the time to sit down
and relax, as possible.
Thank you Tony!

I work at
Hanes Brands in the Albertville Outlet mall as a shift lead. A woman
came in to buy some of these star wars underwear for her son that were
on sale and I was ringing her up at the register. She realized that she
didn't have any cash and left her card at home. I told her not to worry
about it and I went to the back room and grabbed my own money and paid
for her purchase instead. She was extremely grateful and told me that
her son thanks me for his awesome new star wars underpants haha. That's
my random act of kindness.

Thank you Milli!

Matt was so nice helping me put these on this blog.

I held the door open for some people who had their hands full.

Life's Memoir Dedications- LLYM
If you wrote a life's memoir, how would it be dedicated? What would the acknowledgements look like?
---
-My mother for showing me you don't have to like everyone
-My Grandmother for teaching me you still have to try
-Tommy for being my other side
-Zuzzana for showing me what is really possible
---
Dedicated to those who pursue
This would not have been possible without everyone who have helped me along the way and those who have knocked me down. It takes both forces to grow.
---
This book is dedicated to: "The fitire adventurers of the BWCA, and may those of them forever preserve what is most precious to human-kind, the land and her waters."
---
I am dedicating this to my wonderful children
Larry
Jairid
David
and Summer
and Grandson Derek
This would not have been possible without my incredible parents Del and Fred,
my loving Sister and Brothers, Dianne, Dave and Joe,
and all of the friends and family that have stood by me through everything
Doug, Thomas, Lori, and Mary
---
To my first truck, for getting me places- Your memory shall live on forever in my heart
To my pets, for eating everything I ever dropped on the floor
To my dad, for giving me a sense of humor
---
Dedicate this to 'You'
(and everyone who has been a Big part of my life will get a 'warm fuzzy' and know that 'You' really does mean You.)
---
I want to dedicate this to my family, and my Catholic faith and Jesus
My life wouldn't be possible without the help of my parents, my amazing siblings, my youth minister, Dr. Theimer, PSEO, my youth group, but most importantly my friends in SCSU Catholic. I wouldn't be who am if you guys hadn't found me. To steph, Matt, Mike, Nick, Tia and Hannah- you guys are the best friends I could ever ask for. And of course, thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for me and being at my side every day.
---
My story is dedicated to Mallory Grace and my son to be.
I would not be where I am today without Mallory Grace and my son to be. My parents and sisters who all continue to help love and support me. Also all the new friends Mallory and I made in St. Cloud.
---
I dedicate my life story to my father, Alex
This life story would not have been possible without the love of my parents, Sara and Alex, my siblings Nina, Leo and Laura, my partner Steve, my homeland Argentina and all the family that still lives there.
---
Dedicated to my loving parents who have helped me make it here today.
I am writing this in dedication to my parents who have always been there for me since I was just a kid. Thank you for picking me up when I was down and keeping me grounded when I got out of line. Because of you, I am the person you see today. If I ever was scared or needed help I knew you would be there.
Thank you
---
This is dedicated to my sister because no matter what we are, and will forever be, best friends.
This is to my boyfriend for putting up with my irrational behavior.
---
Dedicated to my car, Sherlock; my dog, and my therapist.
To myself for being awesome, Marcus for being my first guy, and my grandpa, and dad who said it was okay to be a crazy cat lady.
---
Dedicated to my parents
This story would not be possible without the support of my family and friends. And the confidence of my publishers and editors, for believing in me and helping me get this done/ This book would be over after Chapter 1 if it wasn't for all the support.
---
To my older sister Laney. Thank you for having the constant strength for me and our brother through the thickness of life. Thank you for always being there no matter how far away you live. You've always been an amazing individual who is a natural loving leader. You were never the graceful type, but your loving personality has always brought joy to many.
---
Thank you to everyone who participated in this assignment!

Richard Tuttle Project, Wall 2
Tuttle 1, Sarah Wehr
For my Tuttle piece I chose to use paint, wood , cardboard, nails and wire. I wanted every part to flow together with curvy lines.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Adam Smith
For my Tuttle piece, I attempted to create delicate, airy forms that cascaded from a single point in the wall. When revising it, I attempted to give these forms more of a sense of motion and interaction with the space around them, while also making them less referential to outside ideas.

With the objective of this project to make work that reflects Richard Tuttle I chose to look at the two tone white paint job on the wall. I stuck nails in the wall at the intersecting points that are different shades of white to highlight the change.

Tuttle 1 Before
I took scrap copper in a shape of a triangle and stuck the tip in the wall. I used fishing line to fallow the shadow it produced and tape to hold the line and to give more depth.

Tuttle 2 Before

Tuttle After
After I took the triangle put it flat against the wall I then took nails stuck them in the wall where the tape was and ran more fishing line under the piece to connect it all. I then took pencil and outlining the fishing line making the lines stand out more.

In this tuttle project, I was interested in working with material like tuttle might have. Rather than making something that tuttle might have made himself, I listened to him talk, got to understand his psyche and persona on what materials mean to him, internalized what those words meant to me as an artist, then my project was a result of responding to that. I do not enjoy copying an artist's style, so I re-invented something new for myself to explore, just by responding to another artists perception of working with materials. I feel this project was very successful in helping me understand that simple materials can create complex sculptures.
