With my project I wanted to comment on the negative space that my sculpture created. The coffee cup is at a 90 degree angle too the puddle with coffee running down empty space. Being close to waist height gives it a sense of familiarity to a table or a pedestal which can be used to display an object. Close to a wall or in the open the piece is self standing and helps bring negative space to thought. The materials such, as the Caribou Coffee cup, is something most recognize and most can relate too. The latex paint (coffee) which is the large amount of liquid coming from the cup gives it a sense of comical relief. It moves when people walk by which furthers is sense of being funny.
